All about Ms. Stockman
Hello! My name is Karen Stockman. I am the gifted facilitator for grades K – 5 for the Tonganoxie Basehor Linwood Special Education Cooperative. I serve students from Tonganoxie Elementary School, Genesis Christian Academy, Basehor Elementary School, Basehor Intermediate School, Glenwood Ridge Elementary School, and Linwood Elementary School. I will be traveling to various buildings each day. I am very excited about working with students as they pursue individual interests and develop their talents through challenging learning experiences.
I hold a bachelor of science degree in elementary education K-9, a master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction, and am currently pursuing another master’s degree in special education with a gifted and talented emphasis.
I have two adult children, a son and a daughter, who used to keep me very busy with activities. My new hobby has become travel. During the last two summers I’ve traveled to nine different countries in Europe. I find seeing historic sites fascinating and love to learn about different places. I believe experiencing the world around us helps us to develop a better understanding and respect for others, history, and helps us to grow individually. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to do this traveling with my Mom.
Should you wish to contact me, the best method would be email since I will be commuting between schools daily. My email address is [email protected].
